DONT BE BORING!

Hey Guys! So I know this class is based on violence, and we have been talking about it all semester; but I think we all need a little pep talk. I decided to take my blog post towards a different route, and not talk about violence at all. Sometimes I think we need a little break from everything bad happening in the world and take a look at something more uplifting.
This video I posted is from Kid President, I’m sure some of you have seen it already; but, every time I’m having a bad day I throw this video on and seem to have a lot more inspiration to do good. The Kid president is a boy named Robby; he is ten years old and has the personality of a forty year old. He was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, a brittle bone condition, which leads him to having over 70 broken bones since he was born. 70 BROKEN BONES!!  When watching these video clips you probably wouldn’t expect anything to be wrong with Robby; however, he’s been through a lot for a ten year old kid.

DON’T YOU FEEL INSPIRED!!!! I love that kid, it’s amazing how someone that young, and with the condition he has, have such an amazing out look on life. Basically the Kid President is telling us is that kids can change the world, they are the future so it is up to them. So what do you think? I want to know what your own opinion is on Robby? Do you think he’s doing a good thing, or do you think he’s too young to be an inspirational speaker? “Give the world a reason to dance, so get to it!”- Kid President

  1. Id just like to share some of my favorite quotes from that video right now:
"Life isn't a cereal either, well it is... "
"It's like that dude journey said, 'Don't stop believing...unless your dream is stupid' then get a better dream"
"What if Michel Jordan had quit? Well, he did quit...but he retired yea that's it"
"He would have never made Space Jam, and I love space jam"
I think this kid is awesome and a great inspiration to everyone. I don't think there is an age restriction on inspiration. We teach kids, kids teach us.
We are all on the same team! That is a great way to look at life I wish I was so optimistic especially how young he is.
Thank you for that pep talk Mr. kid president and thank you Amanda for sharing this.

  2. Kids are so resilient. They can go through so much and still wake up the next day wanting to go out into the world and experience more! Having 70 broken bones would be crippling to most people, but this boy just keeps pushing and doesn’t give up !

  3. I think it is inspiring that kids younger than us with a not so good outlook on life can be so resilient and have such a positive outlook. It really sets an example for all of us to follow and that we should all have that same outlook

  4. Kids honestly have the most amazing attitude. It does not matter that he's only ten years old, what matters is the message that he's trying to get across. He truly is an inspiration and this video just made my day a million times better.

  5. I work with young kids, and I have for a long time and this is why I absolutely love it. Kids always see the best in the world, they're usually pretty happy, and they are brutally honest, whether they mean to be or not. Their honesty also make them hilarious. I've thought about this before, if everyone had the views of a 7-8 year old, the world, in my opinion would be a much better place to live and probably a lot more fun.

  6. I have seen a few of the kid president videos before and I think that it is just great that this kid gets to do what he loves. he is a real inspiration because he does not let anything get in his way even though there are so many things that could make him be sad and that's why I find people like him to be so amazing because they fight against the odds and do what they believe.

  7. I believe that kids today are smarter than adults. They tell you how it is and are not afraid to ask the hard questions. There are times I feel that I should look to a kid for guidance instead of an adult with a PhD. Robby is someone that I would turn to for guidance because he's a straight shooter, telling you how it is.
